Available April 27 through August 28, 2026, the Red Lantern Series revisits the flavors that first brought Hutong into the spotlight, rooted in Northern Chinese tradition and shaped by the depth of Sichuan spice.
Inspired by the Guizhou red lantern chili at the heart of Hutong’s culinary identity, the menu explores the depth and complexity of Sichuan spices through six curated courses. At the center is the signature Red Lantern, featuring crispy soft-shell crab tossed with Sichuan dried chili. The menu continues with a curated selection of dishes including Crispy Lobster with Sichuan Dried Chili, Lau Fau Shan Oysters in Sichuan Chili Pepper Broth, Steamed Mandarin Fish with red and green peppercorn, Flaming Wagyu Beef Char Siu, and Hutong-style Steamed Eggplant with Chili Sauce.
Each course is presented in Hutong’s signature lantern baskets, bringing together heat, aroma, and a refined sense of presentation.
