Start your event with a drinks reception in our Shanghai wing before moving to our private dinging rooms or main dining room  to enjoy a seated dining experience featuring our occasionally fiery Northern Chinese cuisine. Alternatively, enjoy canapés and bowls for a more informal reception with entertainment and dancing.

Hutong also offers the flexibility for semi-exclusive hire for seated or standing events. For semi-exclusive hire of the Beijing wing, we can permit the use of AV and speeches as it is completely private and separated from the other side of the venue with a corridor and a door.


When hosting either your seated or reception-style event with us, you will be invited in for a full tasting with your dedicated event manager to design your bespoke menu.

Our carefully crafted menus in Hutong are based on a sharing concept of dishes, that will be continually brought to the table over the course of your meal. Placed in the centre of the table, you and your guests will enjoy the delicious Sichuan-inspired flavours of our Northern Chinese cuisine.

For reception events, to offer flexibility, all canapés and bowls have been individually priced so that you can tailor your reception menu to suit your guests.
